...a girl that loves to craft and share her passion with the world!

Hello and greetings everyone. Thanks for stopping by.  Grab some coffee, or wine and hang out for a while.  I am Cassandra, the creator of this blog and I just wanted to take a few moments and share a little about myself.

I absolutely love to crochet. My mother taught me this much-appreciated life skill when I was around seven or eight years old. She used to crochet baby blankets for all of my older cousins as they were growing up and having children.  So many granny squares 🙂

I am one of the youngest in my family and most of the children that received those blankets are now in high school. Growing up and watching my mom craft has really made me love and appreciate handmade things.

I started CassandraCae Crochet in June of 2014. The website started as a place where I was going to share all of my crafting and cooking adventures but after a while, I ended up writing about crochet. While

While I moved away from the project and started that Crafty Girl From Ohio, I always really liked the name so I decided to start a new domain, working to flex my WordPress skills.

Along with my crochet hobby I share here on this blog, I do lots of other stuff too.  I am the GROW Program Director at Trumbull Neighborhood Partnership and spend my days working to eradicate hunger through economic development and enhancement the of the local food access chain.

I am married to the love of my life and we have three of the sweetest cats.  All three of them are rescues, wandering into our lives looking for food and shelter - then stealing our hearts.
